The guitar presented by Matt's Guitar Shop was crafted by master builder Yuriy Shishkov, one of the Fender Custom Shop's most renowned luthiers, making it a rare guitar of extraordinary finish quality.
When Fender set out to develop a Mark Knopfler signature model, the choice fell on his legendary red Stratocaster. The original was probed and studied in minute detail, to reproduce the original Strat as faithfully as possible in both aesthetics and sound. The result is a signature model with a sound that's at once smooth, powerful and dynamic, letting dense bass settle in alongside precise mids and crystal-clear highs. The signature model was already very satisfying, but this guitar is even more extraordinary. It was built in the Fender Custom Shop by Yuriy Shishkov, one of the world's most renowned master builders. This Mark Knopfler Signature works wonders in the nuances of color it offers, and gets the best out of its capabilities through Shishkov's unparalleled mastery.
