Buddy Guy - Chicago blues and guitars!

While in Chicago, the Matt's Guitar Shop team visited the home of blues legend Buddy Guy. We had the honor of covering the final concerts of his annual residency at his club, Buddy Guy's Legends, and chatting with his children. An opportunity to discover the blues master's guitars, but also to bring some home...

Unmistakably Buddy Guy guitars, with their polka-dot bodies, have quickly become Fender's most iconic models. Their bold, flamboyant finish is just like the famous bluesman: colorful and inimitable. The polka-dot pattern is an integral part of Buddy Guy's style, from his shirts to his instrument tables. Identified by this distinctive pattern, this Stratocaster quickly became his signature model.

Several polka-dot models have since been created. The guitars brought back by Matt's Guitar Shop were signed by Buddy Guy himself in his club. Write to us if you're interested!
