For the 25th anniversary of the Crossroads Guitar Festival, Eric Clapton has designed a collection of exceptional guitars inspired by his career... They're available at Matt's Guitar Shop!
Eric Clapton is one of those music icons who have used their troubled personal history and public notoriety to inspire millions. With the Crossroads festival and the auctions he organizes (including the historic one held at Christie's in 2004), Clapton works on behalf of addiction victims and has made this initiative a major event.
For the 25th anniversary of the Crossroads Festival, the guitar virtuoso has designed an exceptional collection of guitars inspired by the most iconic instruments of his career. A rare series of Fender and Martin guitars have been meticulously crafted in very limited editions, based on the iconic vintage instruments Clapton played throughout his career with Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos.
Leading the way are two superbly assembled Martins - a D-28 and a D-45 - which pay tribute to Eric Clapton's most influential Unplugged performances. One is inspired by his 1966 Martin 000-28 played on his 1992 Unplugged album. The second is inspired by his 1968 Martin D-45 played with Derek and the Dominos. These exceptional acoustics are available in extremely limited quantities: only 60 Martin D-28s and 25 D-45s make up this edition.
What would a Clapton collection be without a Stratocaster? Discover the exceptional CRASH Strat, which owes its distinctive design to New York artist John "Crash" Matos. Produced in a limited edition of just 60, this Crash Strat incorporates all of Eric Clapton's preferences to produce an effective, percussive and visually psychedelic guitar.
This Clapton Crossroads collection was initially produced for the American market. Matt's Guitar Shop is delighted to announce the imminent arrival of several of these exceptional and already highly sought-after guitars in Europe. Contact us if you are interested!
